Disadvantages: Incorrect picture and no extas

The Boys From Brazil, an excellent Nazi Clone thriller from director Franklin J. Schaffner, has become a good example of how not to make a DVD. Carlton have released the film in their single classics range, but the quality is a joke. Firstly, the film is incorrectly framed in widescreen at 1.85:1 instead of 2.35:1. Secondly, the picture is not anamorphic, which nowadays is a crime. The sound is in mono and the complete lack of extras whatsoever suggest that even at £9.99 this isn't worth the money. There's nothing more to say except buy the video as you get the same product for less money.
