Premium Review The Chronicles Of Narnia - The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader (VHS): narnia (126 words)

Rating:

When I was a child I loved watching the Chronicles of narnia and was even brought the books, I was a bit suprised that they had made it in to a film, and thought they may ruin it, I went to the cinema to watch it, as I loved it as a child, why wouldn't I love it now? I found the beginning of the film very slow, and it took me a while to get into it, further into the film it had its slow moments but the rest of the film was brilliant, the graphics where brilliant and the queen looked just like she did in the series I had watched growing up. Can't wait to see if the do they other ones ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review An Enchanted Beginning (1293 words)

Rating:

“The Chronicles of Narnia” released in December 2005 was clearly meant to be Disney’s big budget rival to the Harry Potter franchise with more movies on the way. “The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe “ is the first instalment (written in 1950 by the legendary author C.S. The story begins in war-torn London in the middle of the blitz from World War 2. The Pevensie children are evacuated to the safe countryside and, under the auspices of Professor Kirke (Jim Broadbent), they find themselves in a ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review The Chronicles Of Narnia - The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader (VHS): Once a King; Always a King (1553 words)

Rating:

I loved the books for The Chronicles of Narnia, I loved the BBC TV adaptation, so there was no way I could not go to the cinema and watch this when it came out. It's definitely aimed more at the children, but I think it's a family film that all ages will enjoy, especially those who have liked Narnia in its earlier incarnations. I found the story entertaining, the acting excellent (especially considering the age of two of the lead actors) and the effects brilliant. There were a couple of changes from the book, but on the whole I think they worked. ~~~ The Plot ~~~ The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe is set during the Second World War. Four ...  Read the complete review
