The Strange World of Coffin Joe (1968) is an anthology horror featuring three stories. The best is probably the first, in which some thieves try to rob a dollmaker and his four lovely daughters - but why don't the dolls have eyes? This is a nine-film boxset from Anchor Bay, currently selling for a ridiculously cheap £13 on amazon. Coffin Joe (aka Zé do Caixão) is a Brazilian horror movie villain played by José Mojica Marins, who directed the films. Quite an icon in Brazil, he had his own TV show, comic books, and even recorded a samba album. The best of the films are gory for their day (60s/70s), powerful, delirious, crazy, low-budget, and absolutely worth seeing. With nine films in the set there's not space to write much about each one.
