Advantages: Entertaining enough

Disadvantages: Not enough action

Ray Keene has decided he needs some bonding time with his rebellious teenage son, son his wife and the kid mother dies of cancer.

They trek out to the woods and attempt to get over the hurdles they are facing as father and son. However their cosy party is gate-crashed when convict Frank Carden joins their duo.

Having just escaped from the police who were transporting him to the courts, Frank is waiting for his possee of mental killers to come and find him and therefore gets a bit fed up when Ray decides to be the good moral citizen and take Frank back in to the police.

Only trouble is, they have to get through the wild woods together first.

I did like this film, but found it was a little flat. Morgan Freeman made a good criminal boss but he was a bit too laid back through it for me. I wnted to see more aggression from him and it just wasn't like that.

Ray Keene was better and John Cusack's performance here was great. He played the conscientious character to a tee and you could visibly see the struggle between looking after his son's safety and his moral obligations.

However, there could have been slightly more action for me as well. I do like a good fight or gun battle, but these were a little lacking for me.

However, it was an easy film to watch and it kept my interest. Freeman was OK, Cusack was better, but it entertained and that's all I ask!

Summary: RECOMMENDED xx
