Advantages: won an oscar, very good acting

this is a very good film its about a german con artist, apparently the 'king of the con artists' who gets arrested by the gestapo and is placed in a german labour camp (not a death camp), life looks pretty dim for him untils his talents for forgery get noticed by one of the german officers and he is moved camps to a worse camp but he is put in a nicer part and he and a handful of other handy men who have been arrested by the nazis are forced to counterfeit millions of pounds to hyperinflate the british economy, but does it work and it is also based on true events and was listed as the biggest counterfeiting heist scam of all time.
karl markovics plays the main character 'sally' and he plays him very well and his acting abilities makes you feel sorry for him and makes you support him in his struggle. the gestapo officer turned nazi officer, August Diehl plays a very dificult character i think because he has to be a ruthless labour camp officer and yet he shows that he has a good side when it comes to the select few prisoners who are doing the heist.
the film has proved that it is very good by winning two awards including an oscar and was nominated for nine awards.
i think think this film is very good and i would recommend it to people interested in crime films, world war II films and thrillers.

Summary: very good film, worth watching
