The Covenant When I first saw the Covenant advertised on one of my other DVD’s I knew it would be a movie I would enjoy, even if it did look like your typical teenager suspense/horror movie with the plot being reinvented from other movie ideas that I would no doubt find familiar. If a film is directed by Renny Harlin then you are getting a cast iron guarantee that the film will be dumber than the guy who thought up shipping football abroad for an extra game. Mr Harlin always sails close to the line and whilst his films can never be classed as high art, at least some of them are entertaining. I have to admit that I've enjoyed the likes of Deep Blue Sea, Long Kiss Goodnight and even Cutthroat Island wasn't as bad as it's box office suggests. In truth the man can blow sh*t up.
