The Crocodile Hunter is going to go down as the very worst movie to make the cinema screens this year. I'm not usually brave enough to make claims like that but this is such a bizarre concept and such an appaulingly crafted movie that I really don't feel like I'm going out on any kind of limb by saying that at all! Umm, that is unless Quentin Tarrantino is thinking of sneaking a live action remake of Bambi unannounced on us of course... Now, in saying that, it doesn't mean that I didn't *like* the movie myself, because I am rather partial to complete trash on the movie screen just so long as it is entertaining trash and you can never say ... A satellite has crashed into North Queensland on Brozzie Drewitt's (Magda Szubanski)land. This is no ordinary satellite, it contains a tracking drone that contains loads of data on millions of people in it, if it falls into the wrong hands the balance of power in the world could change completely. The CIA send two agents out to secretly get back this drone before someone finds out how powerful it is. However the satellite recovery team also send out a member to get it. Unfortunately the drone has been swallowed by a crocodile that has been tormented by Brozzie because of it's taste for her cows. Elsewhere Steve Irwin and his wife Terri (themselves)are out doing ... The idea of a movie starring Steve Irwin was probably complete genius to some people. However there was also the distinct possibility that the movie would suck on every level. So with this in mind i sat down to watch the movie expecting something that could be laughed at because it was so bad. All I can say is CRIKEY! I was wrong. The great thing about Steve Irwin is that he's a wildlife show presenter who actually gets in there and on most occasions really pisses off the animals he's trying to show off. He's also an aussie who's traditional with all the aussie slang, but above all that he's actually very informative and makes me want to ... Read the complete review

I like Steve Irwin. He's totally over the top - but I like him. He DOES know what he's doing - but after while the fact that he keeps stressing the fact that he's had 30 years experience can be a bit grating, as can the him telling us he learned it all from his father. But my children love him, and were desperate to go and see this film. They loved it, but from an adult perspective it was really quite dire. I enjoyed the parts where Steve and his wife Terri were catching and explaining about the various wild creatures they found, and when Steve was trying to catch the rogue croc it was really quite scary in parts! (I screamed!) But the storyline ... Read the complete review
