The Curious Case of Benjamin Button really is a curious case indeed. It is a lovely and unusual film, magical in its' own way because of course you have to suspend your belief to watch this film. It is also, I think, a very sad film and fairly heavy so one to watch when you have a whole evening free and are prepared to get stuck into a very long and fairly emotional tale. It came out in February 2009 and was directed by David Fincher. I watched it on Blu-Ray which I would recommend highly if you can as the picture was amazingly crystal clear. I also watched it with surround sound on which gave a brilliant effect and makes you feel almost like you're part of the ... Read the complete review

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button was a film that I had heard so many mixed reviews on I thought that it was about time that I watched what everyone was talking about and if it was worthy of the awards that it received. With Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett playing the main roles in the film, they story picks up from 1918 where Brad Pitt plays Benjamin Button, a baby born in an old person's body, who to start looks ugly and struggles with life who then get younger instead of older as a role reversal to everyone else and how their life normally pans out. A brief summary of the story is a blind man is commissioned to create a clock to hang in a train ... Read the complete review

We've just finished watching The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and I thought I'd write my review whilst it's still fresh in my mind! So here it goes! I think this review may have to include some spoilers, so if you don't want to know what happens, don't read this review any further. You have been warned. This film is really good and you can see why it won so many awards. The Direction and Effects are stunning and the quality on the Blu-ray is second to none. That out of the way, at nearly 3 hours long I feel that the film does drag on quite a bit and I can think of a few parts that I don't feel are needed in the final cut of the film. The film is ... The Curious Case of Benjamin Button was released last year and covers a bizarre but interesting idea of a man being born with the appearance of an old man and ageing backwards. Although he gets younger his mind gets older. The movie itself is basically the story of Benjamin Button's extraordinary life. You watch him as he grows and passes different stage in his life such as joining the navy, falling in love and starting a family. Brad Pitt and the brilliantly written script create a very likeable character. He's honest and innocent whilst taking his circumstance without a second thought. When his mental age meets his physical age he is living with Cate ... Read the complete review
