Advantages: Great movie to watch

Disadvantages: 2.5 hours long and very very sad at the end

I loved this film and after watching it was in my thoughts for days as it really touched my heart. Of course the story is totally unrealistic and bizarre but absolutely brilliant and fascinating. Cate Blanchett is a wonderful actress and teamed with Brad Pitt they really made the film.

Brad Pitt's performance as Benjamin Button was outstanding. He was born an old man and dies as a baby. Silly as it sounds - I wasn't interested in watching this film when I heard what the story was about. I am so glad I did watch the film. He really played an old man well and you could just about make out it was Brad Pitt. The makeup effects were so clever and his body language as an old man were perfectly played.

This film covers the whole life of Benjamin Button and left you intrigued as to what would happen next. As a child in an old man's body he falls in love but it's sad to watch as she grows old he gets younger. The ending was so upsetting and left me in tears - if you want a good tear jerker then this movie does exactly that.

All in all a very good movie but probably not recommended for people like my husband who like action war films or scary horror films!
