Here’s a movie that’s listed as a ‘romantic comedy’! I heard no laughs where I saw it though. If the director’s intention was comedy it was a poor job. This film did keep me entertained though. Set in America at Christmas time the plot centres on a romance that could have been, was, wasn’t and then should have been. No it’s not as complicated as it sounds. Ever wondered what would have happened in your life if you had made a different decision? The concept of the storyline, I thought was great and I wondered at some point in the movie if it would turn into the massive tearjerker that it perhaps should have been. No such luck, but my eyes did start to water at some point. This movie should have gone all the way to perhaps being more emotional and sensual (Spielberg managed it with E.T- but I suppose this one is a different kettle of fish)! A very good effort! Probably a very difficult one to direct as it seems to try very hard to put some kind of message across and genuinely succeeds to entertain for over two hours, but nothing else.

Summary:
