When the fast and the furious came out on DVD I was over the moon, I could not wait to see it. Even though in had flopped in other parts of the world.

When it was released I went off and purchased it for £19.99. Which I thought was a bit expensive, but it would be worth it.

As soon as got home I sat and watched it, myself and my partner were both totally engrossed in it. What can I say fast cars and good looking men, what more could a girl ask for.

The fast and the furious got it?s inspiration from a magazine article in racer X, which was basically identical to the scene in the film, where they all race in the street at the start of the movie.

This article was spotted by someone at universal; they saw a good opportunity to enter the whole culture of these fast cars and people and decided to make a movie. About them and there everyday lives.

Vin Diesel plays the part of Dominic Toretto, He is at racing king, who leaves all of his challengers for dust. He is looked up to and admired by everyone. Vin Diesel plays a very strong character in the movie and does an excellent job in making his character stand out.
I my book he is one of the best actors going.

Paul Walker play the part of Brain, who is an undercover cop trying to get in to Doms good graces so the he can catch the gang that are hijacking lorries. He gains Doms trust and falls for his sister Mia. Which later cause?s problems as he does not tell her who he really is. Brian?s attitude changes as he gets closer to these people, he starts to respect Dom for taking him under his wing and teaching him everything that he knows about cars and race driving.

Jordana Brewster Plays Mia Doms very beautiful sister, who is also Brian?s love interest, she is very sweet and try?s to keep the peace when problems start to occur.

Michelle Rodriguez plays Letty, Doms girlfriend. She is a kind of tom boy who loves being near cars not to mention racing them
. When the script was originally wrote they didn?t have a part for her, but the more she did the more they loved her and decided to write her in to the movie, as one of the main characters.

Matt Schulze also has a big role as Vince. He is a bit anti about Brian becoming so friendly with Dom and not to mention Mia, who he quite likes himself. The others think
He is jealous, but Vince feels that there is something strange about Brian, He is not far wrong either. Matt did his own stunt, when he was hanging off the side of the moving truck, but he did have a double to do the jump from the car to the truck. But you have to give it to him at leased he did some of the stunts.

During filming all of the cast were taught how to drive these fast cars, although they were not to go over the speed of 80mph, they learned how to do handbrake turns and 360?s etc.
They even taught Jordana how to drive in a day as she could not drive at the time. The cast were also taken to real races so they could get an insight on how things were really done.

In this movie the gang go to race wars, which is located in San Bernardino CA, in this scene the people were extras that were actual drivers and fans of street racing. The fast and furious producers put out flyers and announced it on the net, And over 1?000, fans turned up with there cars to support this movie.

The fast and the furious is a must see film, which fires on all cylinders. It has some amazing stunts which are spectacular, as I said before it is worth watching, a definite thumbs up.
