It begins with the discovery of some knives in the wreckage of an old building in Chicago; soon after the knives are being sold in a pawn shop; but a keen passerby might see that these knives are very different. The Omen 3: The Final Conflict is once again a progression film designed to leave off where the previous one left us. The first and second Omen films were both hugely well received and massive hits and this is the third and final installment of the Omen trilogy. In this film we find Damien Thorn (Sam Neill) all grown up and inherited the entire family mega fortune as well as being the US Embassador to Great Britain not to mention his many followers now who are joining him in the quest to let evil once again reign supreme. Discounting the poor Canadian TV movie Omen 4, this is the end of the Omen trilogy. The first showed the antichrist, Damien, as a baby, in the Damien:Omen 2, he was a teenager, now he's an adult. He is an ambassador, who is working at taking over the world. As usual, anybody who discovers his true identity meets a horrible death via a freak accident. There are several problems with the movie. There were truly chilling set piece in the first two films, but nothing in this comes close. One death involves murder via a hallucination, but the rest is unimaginative.
