Advantages: Some great actors

Disadvantages: Everything, storyline...

Never before have I seen a cast of great actors in such a rubbish movie, ever!

Plot... The film follows a group of oil riggers who are being flown home from a closed down rig. The plane crashes and the team must do everything to stay alive. Things become tense when two of their comrades wonder off into the harshness of the Mongolian Desert. They decide to build another plane from the old one so that they can fly out of the desert back to civilisation.
So anyway I was going on about the great actors in this film including Dennis Quaid (featuring in Vantage Point and The Day After Tomorrow) and Hugh Laurie (House and Stuart Little). Both of them are very good actors but to be fair to Hugh Laurie the other films he appears in haven't been all that good; for Dennis Quaid it is the complete opposite with all of the films he appears in being very very good.
And so we go onto why this is such a rubbish film, well bar the two top-name actors the rest of the cast is very poor, the special effects are few and far between and the ones that do appear in the film aren't exactly worthy of a Bluray release i.e. they're rubbish. We've got a really crap story line and a predictable Hollywood ending, there are a lot of characters dropping like flies in the first half hour and to top it all sum really appalling action fighting scenes. All of this is topped off by the one character you want dead, Elliot (Giovanni Ribisi) who is such a detestable person in the film.

Overall I couldn't recommend this at all; the cast is good it's just a shame about the storyline and general lack of any action in this film.

Summary: Just don't watch it
