A cartoon series which most of all love, is The Flintstones. I grew up with the Flintstones and loved every episode. I, used to wake up at 7am n Sunday mornings to watch it when I was little but it’s always on the cartoon network channel at regular intervals. There are Fred and Wilma, who live next door to Barney and Betty (The Rubbles). It’s the guys who always seem to get caught up in some mischief and adventure, with Wilma and Betty often left wondering what’s happening. Fred and Barney work in a quarry in Bedrock and that’s where most of their adventures take place, but it can be anywhere in the cinema or at ... Read the complete review

The Flintstones is a cartoon I remember fondly from my younger years and this feature film moved away from the cartoon format to use actors, Dan Goodman is in the lead role of Fred, the larger than life character whose appetite far out weighs his IQ while Barney is played by Rick Moranis of Ghostbusters fame as the well meaning best friend and neighbour. Liz Taylor makes an appearence as the nagging mother in law and Fred vows to make something of himeslf to make her eat humble pie and his opportunity arises when the slimey deputy manager of the quarry he and Barney works at decides to hold an IQ test with the highest score getting a vice president position. ... Fred Flintstone knows that of course the world is flat and with 4,000 people now living in the world, the place is beginning to get a bit crowded. I think I would have really enjoyed the lifestyle in Bedrock and that is probably why I enjoyed this film so much. This film brings to life all of the characters (both human and animal) from the cartoon series and does it in a very convincing way. As a youngster I was addicted to The Flintstones cartoon series and often in this film I knew what was going to happen as the predictability from the cartoon series is carried on into the film. This is not a bad thing as what made the cartoon so popular was, as a child, how ... Read the complete review

Then there is his good friend Barney rubble also played outstandly by Rick moranis. There are also there wives Betty and Wilma who have to live with this pair of men. So fred ends end working in the quarry office where he is framed for embezzling money from the company. He and wilma start to think themselves better than Barney and betty when he gets the job in the office as the go to a top ... Read the complete review

Throughout the entire movie I really enjoyed the scenery. The movie did a grat job of explaining how the "Flintstonian" world was, but one thing was missing--PLOT! I can't even count the number of times my mind strayed from the plot and focused on the effects. If you're already a Flintsone fan ( of which I am one), you'll most likely recognize reference to the cartoon. If you're not a fan, you'll most likely fall asleep as this isn't a match for the cartoon! ... Read the complete review
