Its about 6ft tall and looks vaguely like Jeff Goldblum. The Fly is one of THE classic horror movies from the 1980s if not of all time. Directed by David Cronenberg, it is a remake of the 1958 classic movie by the same name which starred the master of the genre Vincent Price. Whilst this remake sticks to the general premise of the original movie, much of the action has been updated to bring in Kronenberg's own particular whims and obsessions...and a damn fine job he made of it as well. Seth Brundle(the incomparable Jeff Goldblum) is a scientist who is working on a fantastic new device which will enable the transportation of items from one place to ... Read the complete review

Creepy film from David Cronenberg, who has made a specialty of creepy films (Dead Ringers, Scanners, Existenz). Jeff Goldblum stars as Seth Brundle, a scientist who is mastering teleportation, but who accidentally crosses his genetic code with a housefly's, creating a terrifying hybrid. Geena Davis plays a reporter who is slowly falling for Goldblum, her subject. This is one of Goldblum's best performance of his career. An actor who often seems laid-back, Goldblum here is anything but. His intensity shows as a man who undergoes a terrifying transformation into a disgusting creature. His anger and frustration cross with his scientific visions, and he thus ... Read the complete review

THE FLY Starring: Jeff Goldblum, Geena Davis, John Getz Rated: R for strong violence/gore and sexuality (Age Appropriate: 15 and up) This is the critically acclaimed update of the 1950's classic Sci-Fi film 'THE FLY'. This time around more gore was added (not necesarily a good thing; the gore really counted against it when it came out) as well as a much better script suitable for top actors of the time (such as the film's stars Jeff Goldblum and Geena Davis). The outcome was a fair blockbuster hit that picked up a few Oscar nominations as well as making history for the subgenre of Science Fiction. Now, you're probably ... Read the complete review

"Be afraid - Be very afraid!" Directed by David Cronenberg, this is a remake of the 1958 version, which starred Vincent Price. Geena Davis and John Getz co-star in this excellent ‘80s remake which stars the excellent Jeff Goldblum as Dr Seth Brundle. Brundle has invented a machine to teleport items from one ‘pod’ to another. While the machine works great on inanimate objects, his success rate with living things is not good. When he finally cracks it, Brundle decides to test it out on himself, and this is when things go frighteningly wrong. At the crucial moment, a fly has entered the telepod, and his own DNA, ... I had heard about The Fly a long time before I saw the film earlier this year. I knew about its reputation as being one of the best horror films ever and even after knowing this it still didn't prepare me for the masterpiece that it is. In case you don't know it is the story of a scientist played by Jeff Goldblum who invents a teleporting and cloneing machine. While experementing with it he himself dares to try it but a fly is in the other pod and so his DNA gets mixed up with the flies and he begins to become the insect. His girlfirend has to look on as he becomes a monster and she in the end does what she can to help him but can't do anything for ... Read the complete review
