There are a handful of Disney animated films which I found myself watching over and over again as a child. One of those is The Fox and the Hound, which I still love to this very day!

Plot:
Fox and the Hound is a film about a puppy named Copper and a little fox named Todd. They become best of friends but when they grow up they are expected to be enemies. Copper's owner is a hunter and tries to shoot Todd down all the time. Todd on the other hand is owned by a sweet little old lady, and takes Todd to the forest for his safety. But can Todd fight for his survival alone, or will he and Copper be reunited?

Characters:
Todd and Copper are two of the most adorable characters in the world of Disney. Todd especially melts the heart. They lead complete opposite lives, but as they say, opposites attract. The old woman gets me emotional when she starts to cry as she leaves Todd - she is a loved character too. I despise the hunter though, I used to shout at the TV when he was on when I was younger!

Suitability:
The film as a certificate of U (universal), which means it is suited to all ages. Though I disagree. there are some very frightful scenes in the forest and even at the age of seven or eight I struggled to watch them. I would say this is fine for anybody over the age of five, but no younger. Other than that, it is perfect for a family night in front of the TV!

DVD:
This is one of the DVDs that have recently been released.You can buy it from HMV and Amazon and such like for around £10 - £15. For such an amazing film that is definitely worth it! You will be finding yourself watching it over and over again so it is money well spend!

This is one of my favourite Disney films and I am sure you can make it one of yours too! If you have yet to see this then I suggest you find a copy as it is amazing!
