The jokes are in no way complex and the whole film is just meant for sheer entertainment and comedy. The Gameplan is a film starring Dwayne Johnson (the Rock) as a sucessful football star who's world is turned upside down when he finds out he has a daughter. At the beginning he is arrogant and selfish but slowly changes when he gradually begins to see the most important thing in his life is a daughter. Of course, things don't run smoothly and there are many ups and downs during the film as he finds it hard to accomodate his child in his hectic life. The film is a simple, funny film. Is it worth the extra for the Blu-Ray, or should you opt for the cheaper DVD? In the film, an NFL quarterback has a carefree lifestyle until a young girl appears claiming to be his daughter from a former marriage. Now, he must soften up and learn how to care for others. The cast does a good job and present the script very well. The script is good and has some laughs in places. The plot has some twists which can be entertaining but is weak in others. The film has some action. All of the cast have a good chemistry and pull you into the film. It starts slowly but becomes more interesting as it moves along.
