 ... very expressive face and plays a convincing drunk well. Miller becomes a character you like very quickly, despite his faults and he is both warm and charming. I hadn't heard of Edmond O'Brien before this film, but he impressed me too. Although his character is a bit of a rogue, he plays it with just the right mixture of menace and warmth, so you can believe his dodgy past, but still come to like him over the film. I have been a fan of Jayne Mansfield for about a year now. I knew she was beautiful and I read her life story with interest, but I had only ever seen her in one film called Kiss Them For Me, where she was pretty, but had very little screen time.
