Advantages: an imaginative plot with great effect's

Disadvantages: a bit hard to follow so you need no interuption's

The Golden Compass is a mystical film full of suspence, humour and great effect's. The basic outline of the storey is in another parallel universe souls exist along side thier human partners in a form of an animal. The main character is an orphan called lyra who is in the care of a university that her uncle work's for. She get's mixed up (for a reason I can't say without ruining the storey) in the middle of one of her uncles exspadition's but on the baddies side (not known to her), this is to do with thier deamons, or souls as we call them. The storey moves on to her rescueing her friend . This is a complicated film and my brief outline does not do it justice but I don't want to give too much away. It is hard to know who this film is aimed at but I think anyone with a good imagination or a love of film's with a magic or mystical feel will enjoy it( fan's of harry potter, stardust, maybe lord of the ring's with a love of family style film's) All in all I really like the film as I am a real romantic at hart and love to get lost in a storey no matter how unusual.
