Advantages: A classic.
Disadvantages: Old.
I’m 18, I can’t say there’s many films that I’ve seriously and thoroughly enjoyed that was
made in a decade I never experienced. However, in second place comes The Ladykillers
(see it), and first comes this World War 2 film. Being a true story, the drama is seriously
increased. The ideas of the inmates are brilliant......but the Great Escape, and what
follows....is a part of film history. However, it also proves to be rather entertainingly
educational. Don't be put off by the age of this film. When I mention this film as one of the best, people first admit to me that they disagree, and then admit that they've never seen it.The acting is fine, as is the script.......in fact...........as is the film.
