Advantages: Funny and we can all identify with having blank spaces the morning after

Disadvantages: none really, you get what you expect and hope for

The last film I watched that was promised as much as this one was Superbad and I didn't find that very good, so I didn't hold out much hope for The Hangover.

Basically we have a stag night in Vegas that goes the way most nights out in Sin City would, and the day after you have the aftermath. So, much like dude where's my car, we have our trio trying to work out just what they did last night, and why is Mike Tyson asking for his tiger back.

Where this film actually works is that it's something we can all identify with, ok this, due to it being a film, is taken to the extremes, but we can all think of several morning afters where we have talked to people from the night before and tried to fill in the gaps and discover how you made it home with one shoe and a traffic cone painted purple.

There's nothing new in this film, it's not ground breaking in anyway. We have 3 stereotypes as our main men. The under the thumb guy, the odd guy and the handsome guy, but they are used well in this film and works because of it.

The characters are endearing, while you laugh at their misfortunes you also sympathise with them, and at the end of the film I hoped we would see them again some day.

The best comedy I have seen this year.

Summary: A good comedy that doesn't simply rely on gross outs to make it funny
