One Sunday evening , my friend and I were bored , and so decided to go to the cinema. Because we live so far away from our local cinema (about 35 miles away), we thought we would make a night of it ; first going for a quick bite to eat in the chineese eat-as-much-as-you-like-for-£10 restaurant next door to the cinema , and then catch a couple of movies. There were a few movies we wanted to see and so we thought beings as the cinema is so far away from us ,we'd watch two movies instead of having to travel all that way more than once to see the other movie.

One of the movies which we watched was The Hangover. It's quite funny really , as I hardly ever take part in Ciao's 'product of the week' although this afternoon , I was browsing on the 'member page' when I happened to click on to 'product of the week'. Usually the products are not the kind of things I try/buy and so I never take part .However, this time I was pleasantly suprised to see that I could actually take part in this week's 'competition' as I had actually seen the product of the week a few weeks ago.

The Hangover is an American Comedy movie released in the United Kingdom on 12th June 2009. This movie stars Bradley Cooper , Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis. Running time of this movie is one hundred minutes exactly (one hour and forty minutes). This movie is a 15 due to it's language , 'drug scenes' and sexual content.

A couple of days before his wedding ,Doug and his three friends travel to Las Vegas for a bachelor party. The morning after the party , the men wake up with terrible hangover , can't remember a thing and worst of all , they've lost the groom! Will twenty four hours allow them enough to time to find him in time for his wedding ? Watch The Hangover to find out!

If I'm honest , this film wasn't my choice , although because my friend had let me choose the first film , it was only fair that I let my friend choose the other movie. I wasn't too sure whether I'd like this movie as I wasn't really sure what to expect ( I hadn't seen the trailer). It didn't really look like the kind of 'rom-com' films I usually go for , judging by the 'poster' , however I still went ahead and watched it , and I must say ; I really did enjoy it.

This is a real , 'man's movie' but there were loads of women in the cinema and judging by the sound of laugher (the room was filled with giggles several times!) everyone enjoyed this film. This film fits into the 'American Pie' and 'Knocked Up' type films.There were so many 'one liners' which had me in stiches. Such 'one liners' include :

Phil Wenneck: Would you please put some pants on? I feel weird having to ask you twice.

Alan Garner: It would be so cool if I could breast-feed.

* * * * * * *
Sid Garner: Now remember, what happens in Vegas stays, in Vegas... Except herpes, that sh*t will come back with you.

I really liked the characters , as extreme as they were. The four main guys were so likeable as there are just so normal and down to earth (even if they are a bit unpredictable! ) that it was hard no to like them.The chemistry between them was so genuine , it was as though they were four best mates in real life.By the end of the movie , I genuinely cared about the characters , as if they were real people.

Nothing about the film was forced ; it all flowed so naturally (although there are a few random things about the film , I won't give to much away , but it involves a tiger!) , and I think that is why the film is such a success. I havn't seen such a funny film since the movie 'Knocked Up'. Also, I hadn't heard of any of the lead actors , however after this movie I will certainly be looking out for them in the future. I will certainly be buying the DVD when it comes out!

I had never heard of the main actors until this film , however I think it's a good thing , because I'd much rather watch someone 'unknown' than someone 'big' like Brad Pitt. I'm a big fan of celebrity magazines , and sometimes if I read articles about Brad Pitt and then watch a film of his , I keep thinking of him as the 'character' I read about in the magazine , and so I find I can't get into the movie so much. So , the fact that I didn't know these actors , made me enjoy the film so much more.

I definately would reccommend this movie ; although I must warn you , it's not to everyone's tastes as the humour is quite crude! However , if your looking for a real laugh-a-minute film , then this is it!
