BACKGROUND INFORMATION Famous and talented American director and writer Richard Shepard directed the movie named 'The Hunting Party' and has been released 14th September, 2007 in USA and later world-wide. The Hunting Party is an excellent action thriller that stars Richard Gere alongside Terence Howard in what I think is one of Richard Gees better movie performances. In the film Gere plays war reporter Simon Hunt, a man who has seen action across many world conflicts while Howard plays his camera man and also provides the narration for the film. This is a film about war ciminals and the sometimes dirty aspects of wars, it is a powerful film that leaves the viewer with a hightened sense of the complete futility of war and a certain amount of cynicism at the war the media portray things and those that commit war crimes. The Hunting Party is an excellent action thriller with an impressive cast that includes Richard Gere and Terence Howard. Gere plays a war reporter called Simon Hunt, he has experienced war all around the world and Howard is his cameraman who is known as Duck and he also narrates the story as well as he looks back over their recent past. The focus of the story is on the actions of war criminals and certainly it sets out to highlight the unsavoury aspects of war. The film opens with the pair cobering the Bosnian War however Hunt is carcking up under the pressure and is angered by what he sees, an on air live rant costs him his job and Duck is partnered up ...
