Advantages: Good graphics and storyline

Disadvantages: none

The Incredibles isn't just another average disney animation film like Skark Tale. It's in a whole league of it's own.

The film's main theme is superheroes. The film starts by showing the years when Superheroes openly saved the world and we're loved for it. But it quickly shifts to when the public turned against them, and they was forced to make their secret identities their only identity. Then rest of the film follows two of these superheroes, Mr.Incredible and Elastigirl who marry and have 3 children, Dash, Violet and Jack-Jack. Mr.Incredible is finding his "average family-man" lifestyle, very dull and unfulfilling so spends evenings listening to Police scanners trying to find people to save. After being fired from his job, he is sent a message by a secret agency who knows he is actually Mr.Incredible, they offer him lots of money to go to their remote island and disable a dangerous robot/ machine.
I'm not going to reveal anymore about what happens, because you really need to see the whole film to understand why everything happens.

As it was created by Disney, you'd expect it to be a heart-warming story with talking animals that give a meaningful message, etcetc. But, The Incrediblers offers so much more. There is a great mixture of action, comedy and breathtaking graphics and sounds, with some great one-liners and irresistable characters.

The graphics are truly amazing in this film, and the attention to detail makes it even more special. This movie was incredible to see in the cinema as you could fully appreciate the sounds and images, but it's just as good at home.

There is something for everyone in this film. Children will love the Superhero theme, and some of the jokes. But also, adults will love it, theres quite lots of action, fast-paced chase scenes and some great comedic ones aswell. This is definately one for the family, its U certificate, so no need to worry about swearing, violence, etc.

Also, there are some great special features. Deleted scenes, a special animation about the baby Jack-Jack, making of The Incredibles and much more. It's definately worth checking them out!

Summary: Great, family-friendly film

Rather sadly I ended up watching this on a romatic weekend with Hubby (all the decent films had been pre-booked). Like Dave I found it average at best.

TBH I thought this was one of the most overrated Disney films ever, the clips looked hilarious but the film was just average for me.
