Advantages: brainless fun

Disadvantages: could of been better

This film won me over, it wasnt the greatest, extremely cheesy and the concept could of been better. The film is about a group of clones who are led to beleive the world outside is contaminated. Really the outside world is fine and the clones are being told a lie as they are really just spare part for the rich and famouse, an insurance policy for the dying or ill. it folllows ewan mcgregors character as he finds out and escapes with his lady of intrest played by scarlett johansson. In the outside world he encounters lots of obsticles and people and eventually leads to going back and saving the other clones. Except all the way through it just one big explosion and set peice after the other. The slo mo is amped up and the music is exgerated. it is after all directed by micheal bay. This however isnt a bad thing, the film is a brainless affair which you can just switch on and enjoy the carnage that ensues. the acting is ok, ewan mcgregor fills action man status, trying to bring a bit of depth out of the character which is lots with the fast and furious special effects and directing. The film could of been amazing, a lot darker in tone and serious. It could of been a completly diffrent movie with a diffrent director which given the concept could be. the film also has a one dimensional villain in the guise of sean bean. It would of been nice to see him in a good guy mode. overall the film is loud and fast but worth a watch if your in for a bit of brainless fun. the action and special effect are great, the rooftop scene where they fall from a building is fantastic if completly over the top and unreal. woth a watch but only the once.

Summary: an ok action movie, good action, fast plot, just enjoy
