WHAT IS IT ABOUT: This 2003 sequel to the Disney classic sees Baloo missing Mowgli, and heading off to the man village to see him. The two run off into the jungle together, little knowing that Sheer Khan is still there waiting for him. IS IT ANY GOOD: You're probably only likely to watch this film if, like me, you've got bored of your kids watching the original. Any sequel should only be seen following the original, but that is where this film falls down. Shock horror: the animals have different voices! My Son is almost two and believe it or not this is his favourite DVD at the moment (I personally prefer Lion King). Whilst searching for a suitable DVD to keep him occupied at our local Woolworths we came across this one. I decided to give it a go as I want to get as many disney films as possible and felt that this would at least add to the collection. Now I'm glad I did. Every time my son wants to watch this film he says 'Baloo mam'. I don't mind because I find that this is a good entertainer, especially for younger children like my son. Easter holidays come with the added pressure of keeping your children occupied. One obvious ploy is to take 'em to the flicks so it was with a spring in my step and a song I my heart that I hurled the kids into the car and, nay, flew to my local UCG to catch Jungle Book 2. I did have the concern that I really don't like sequels though. Inevitably, they are re-hashed workings of the original with pretty much the same story made solely to generate more greenbacks for the film studio concerned. But surely Disney wouldn't disappoint?
