Some sequels probably should never be made and unfortunately Karate Kid 2 is probably one of those films. Karate Kid 1 is one of my favourite 80's movies, classic scenes (wax on, wax off - the end fight scene) but in my opinion the magic cannot be captured again and consequently the film falls flat because of that and becomes something that we've seen once and don't really need to see again in a remake. However, according to an article I read, like the original film, the sequel was also a success and earned even more at the box-office than its predecessor and considered by many fans to be the best in the series. A lovely Saturday morning. Well, it was yesterday. Ahem, pardon me whilst I attempt to set a scene in this peculiar style of mine. The Sun was looming large above me and my nephew in this sleepy Kentish village. We both had a task to perform and the local hall beckoned us forth. We bumped into our leader for this momentous event and soon several of our small team conglomerated around us as we set off for our designated area.
