The Kite Runner is my favourite book of all time so I was a little dubious about watching the film as I was sure it just wouldn't compare.

I was right, the book is much much better than the film but this isn't a bad reflection on the film as books always seen better than the films as they can describe everything in far more detail and films have to miss out large sections to fit into 2 hours or so.

This film was in fact very very good and if I hadn't read the book, I probably would have giev it 5 stars. The film did very well at protraying the close relationship between the two main characters when they were children, despite having limited time to do so and the violent scenes were done very well and made it clear what had happened without making it too graphic. The acting was good and it was powerful enough to make me cry.

This is an excellent film and a must see but so is the book. Please don't watch the film instead of the book, do both.
