The storyline is relatively simple, it's about a couple who share correspondence with each other although they are living in different time periods; she is living in the present, while as he is living a few years in the past.

The chemistry between Alex and Kate is strong, and you just know that this couple are meant to be together at some point, but nothing is as simple as it appears. All through the movie you're thinking "It's just a couple of years that separates them, surely he'll eventually catch up to her time-frame and everything will be fine", but there are twists and turns in this movie, and the gifts of hindsight and foresight, although handy in some cases, are totally useless where it matters most... finding each other.

It's relatively impossible to go into any sort of detail without giving the entire plot away, and the true pleasure of watching this movie is to be unaware of what will happen next.

There's just something about the Reeves and Bullock chemistry that radiates through in this movie, a sort of; "gosh what a lovely couple". When these 2 actors work together, it just feels right. That same chemistry came through when they made the movie Speed.

This movie is well acted, beautifully shot, and although there are some lengths to it and very little action, it is a nicely rounded and entertaining movie.

Reeves and Bullock are totally believable in their roles, and play each scene to its full potential.

Summary: A couple share correspondence with each other although they don't live in the same time period.
