First off let me get this out of the way this is not the Blair Witch Project it is a far superior piece of film. The Film The Last Broadcast made in 98 sets about taking us on a tour of a documentary about the case of the Jersey murders, the film revolves around two friends Locus Wheeler and Steven Avkast who run a local cable show called Fact or Fiction in a bid to help the already flagging ratings they let viewers of the show decide on what story they should investigate next, this leads them into the Jersey Pine Barrens in search of the legendary Jersey Devil. They then set about making up a team to join them in the search, first on the list ... Read the complete review

The Last Broadcast is unique in that it was on of the first feature films to be cut using a consumer-based desktop PC. The film has recently been mentioned in Focus magazine as it made history, as it was the first feature film to be released digitally via satellite to theatres across the U.S. Even with all this hype The Last Broadcast has still gone relatively unknown but it deserves a lot of credit for its original plot and clever ending. Filmmaker David Leigh decides to make a documentary on the famous murders of a TV crew in New Jersey. The incident occurred in 1995 when four men desperate for their TV station to succeed ventured into the Pine Barrens of New ... Read the complete review

This movie is a low-budget thriller. It?s set around a 2 TV show presenters, on a show called ?Fact or Fiction.? Due to their decreasing viewing numbers, they decide to go into a forest called The Pine Barrons, to find the American legend ? The Jersey Devil. They picked up two people to help make the show along the way. After an evening of filming, only one member survives?. Was he the murderer or something else? Here?s a random fact for you: This film was the first film ever to be cut completely by a PC. This film allegedly influenced the Blair Witch project. I believe they even took them to court over it. I don?t know what came of it though. There are ... Read the complete review

This film has been touted as the inspiration for The Blair Witch Project, thats possibly true. The films have similarities in that crews armed with cameras go out to find something in the woods and end up dead. But that is where the copmparisons can end. Last Broadcast is a travesty of a film, and whatever the mediocre budget was for the film, it would have been beter spent on just about anything. The film is a montage of narration, interviews and attrociously uniteresting footage from the trip. I kept waiting for the intro to abate and for the actual BWP style footage to begin, it never did. The film goes on and on with interviews of the people loosly ... Read the complete review
