The Last Days of Disco (DVD)

A flat, rather mannered comedy about prototype yuppies in the dying days of the disco era. Like other Whit Stillman movies, it's filmed in a cold style, with endless dialogue and virtually nothing happening. There's no real story, other than the experiences of a circle of graduate friends from upscale Eastern universities (including Chloe Sevigny, Kate Beckinsale, Chris Eigeman, Mackenzie Austin). They fall in and out of love, worry about their jobs and status, conspire around each other and fret about their inability to get into the best clubs.
