The Lion King is worthy of the title of one of the greatest and most loves Walt Disney animations, if not the greatest them all. The story centres around the lion king Mufassa and his pride. Mufassa and his wife soon have a baby son named Simba born into the pride who naturally would be next in line to be the future king, much to the grief of Mufassa's evil brother, Scar who devises a plan to murder his brother and frame Simba leaving Scar as the natural successor to the throne. The rest of the story following this involves Simba saving his homeland and dethroning Scar as he hopes to reclaim his place as King, though this is no simple task and involves much difficulty along the way. This animated film is the greatest of Walt Disney's creations simply because you are witness to every emotion possible throughout the film and also experience these emotions yourself as you watch through a rollercaster of feelings. The film offers very sad moments, great action scenes and brilliant humour. This film, like most Walt Disney pictures can be enjoyed by all audiences which I think is part of the reason why this film is so celebrated and popular. Many Walt Disney films came before this and no doubt many will follow off the Disney conveyor belt, but none will truely rival this family favourite ever.
