Advantages: Superb animation, You can feel the characters' emotions, Outstanding soundtrack
Disadvantages: None
If you haven't seen The Lion King, then I strongly recommend that you do. You'll be very glad that you did. A new lion-cub has been born by the name of Simba. His father, Mufasa, is the king, so Simba is the new prince. All of the animals rejoice his birth, expect for the evil Scar, Mufasa's brother, as he was next in line to the throne, so now that Simba has been born, there's no way that Scar will become king in his lifetime. He doesn't like this, and is determined to become king, so he sets about on killing him. He gets three hyenas to chase Simba, but he manages to escape unharmed. So he tries again the next day. He gets Simba to wait in a gorge, telling him that Mufasa is on his way to see him, and the hyenas start a huge stampede, which go directly towards Simba! Mufasa manages to rescue him, but Scar then confronts him. I'm not telling you what happens next, as it is one of many spoilers. You'll have to watch the film to see what happens. The Lion King is undoubtedly, the best Disney film of all time. The story is simple, but yet enthralling. The animation is superb from beginning to end. The opening sequence, the stampede scene and the end scenes are brilliantly animated. The soundtrack used throughout the film is extremely powerful, with some superb songs that are incredibly catchy. They will stick in your mind for a long time. There is also a brilliant cast, which include James Earl Jones, Jeremy Irons, Matthew Broderick, Jonathon Taylor Thomas, Rowan Atkinson, Whoopi Goldberg, Nathan Lane, Ernie Sabella and Robert Guillaume. Every actor gives an excellent performance. You will fall in love with every single character, even Scar! Overall, The Lion King is such a beautiful film that leaves you wanting more. If you have young children who have never seen this film before, it would be best if you watched it with them for the first time, as there are two scenes which are likely to send them in floods of te
ars. Both of these scenes are extremely emotional, and can make the hardest of hearts feel sad. However, I have heard that some adults have even cried during this film, so it might have to be the whole family which needs a shoulder to cry on. Again, I'm not going to tell you what happens that is really sad. You're going to have to watch it to see. Some animated films do have something that happens that is sad, but they don't really make you as an audience feel sad. The Lion King on the other hand does. This is another reason why this is such a good film. Buy the Lion King now if you don't have it. That's an order.
