Okay I hate to admit it. I’m a teen movie lover. No wait, I’m not embarrassed about that...I’m a tween movie lover! There I said it! And no I’m not embarrassed about it either (ok maybe just a little) Lizzie McGuire is (embarrassingly enough) one of my favourite TV shows. I know, I know I’m 19 and this show is like aimed at preteen girls but hey, you should all know by now I’m a 13 year old at heart ;) One of my friends told me that Lizzie McGuire was going to be turned into movie, basically just picking up after where the TV show left off, as sad as I am I really wanted to see it! Okay for all of you who are not too familiar ... Read the complete review

The Lizzie McGuire movie is one of my all time favourite teenagey Disney films! I have never been a Lizzie McGuire fan, but when this film came out in 2003, I was only around 14, and it was all around our school, and so I divulged and watched it and fell in love with it, and the country it's set in, Italy. If you know anything about Lizzie McGuire, this film kind of continues on with her life as the series did, if you have never watched the series, to be honest this film is very easy to understand, you just need to know Lizzie is an average teenage girl, she's not the most popular or the least popular girl in school, she has her ups and downs, she has her ... I love Hilary Duff, she is absolutely amazing, so talented! So naturally I would accept every chance I get to watch Lizzie McGuire, and the Lizzie McGuire movie too... Plot: The Lizzie McGuire Movie, released in 2003, is a film about, well, Lizzie! She graduates from middle school and she and the rest of her classmates get to go to Rome. When there she discovers a singer that looks identical to her, but when she needs to take her place, is she up to the challenge? Characters: Hilary Duff is a fantastic actress, and she makes Lizzie McGuire so alive and full of life, very realistic indeed! There is so much depth to this one character, and ... This is a movie version of the succesful Lizzie McGuire series from Disney starring Hilary Duff. The usual characters ( bar Miranda for reasons I'm unsure of, but I guess for the plot to work and for Lizzie to share a room with once-bestfriend-now-enemy Kate, it had to be that way ) are back for this movie adaptation and my daughter and I always enjoy watching it. The film begins with Lizzie's brother Matt ( played by Jake Thomas ) setting up a blackmail tape of Lizzie singing in the bathroom ( nothing too unsual for their relationship as they have a cat-dog relationship at the best of times ) and the taking his video camera to Lizzie's junior school graduation ... I actually saw this film before i saw the Lizzie Maguire series, and i loved the film. It was full of many catchy songs which i will be singing for a long time to come. I felt that the performance of Hilary Duff (Lizzie) was especially well. The location of the film was absoultely breath-taking. Well...It is Rome. I liked the idea of this teenager being put into a different culture and having to 'do as the Romans do', with a twist. I loved the way that she was made famous in a different country but at home she was just plain Lizzie. This film is full of cringe moments that you will just laugh at. It's a typical teenager feel-good film. However, it can also be ... Read the complete review
