The Plot ========== Max (Elden Henson) is a teenage outcast with learning difficulties. He is bullied and has no friends. One day, brainy kid Kevin (Kieran Culkin) and his mum (Sharon Stone) move in next door. Kevin too is an outcast. He is a bit of a geek and due to some illness has a feeble body. Max initially rejects Kevin’s advances of friendship until Kevin becomes his reading tutor. Kevin’s enthusiasm for the first time brings stories alive for Max and he begins to enjoy reading. The Mighty is based on a children's book by Rodman Philbrick called Freak the Mighty. The book is available on order from Amazon for about £4.00 and gets a 5 star rating from customers who have read it. Onto the film itself. Do not be put off by the cover of the video. You might be mistaken in believing that this is a Sharon Stone or Gillian Anderson film. Admittedly, both these actresses are in this film, but they do not star in it.
