Advantages: Technological visual effects
Disadvantages: Special effects well overdone, Horror without the horror (if you know what I mean)!, Childish, corny script
Everyone was flocking to see this film in drones where I had a look. Maybe they’d caught an eye of the exciting trailer prior to its release! To be honest I thought the trailer to this feature presentation was more exciting than the movie itself! The amazing special effects are overdone and the feature is awash with computer generated scenes that are pretty horrific in places, but with not enough ambience to give you bad dreams. If you're a twelve year old kid you’ll love all this (it's a big wow), but as an adult unless you are prepared to 'take your brain out' for a few hours and put up with the corny childish dialogue and Egyptian chirographic script you should not be fooled into any reason to watch this one other than to see the special effects. It's a bit of an Egyptian Indiana Jones come Star Wars, 'good vs. evil' flick with a dose of zombie flesh eaters, thrown in with real good computer graphics! There are some British location scenes in London that obviously try to bring it all home, but they just don’t make it any less American, I’m afraid. Corpses, mummies, and the quest for immortality! Whatever happened to Sinbad? The leading female roles add to the much needed glamour though, making even the fight sequences look somewhat appealing. Go and see it on your own, kids!

- 19/05/01 What was it about? Don't ask me! I couldn't figure that out at all. I know the Egyptians were mysterious but this is ridiculous. Great effects though. The glamourous female fight sequences were best. |

- 19/05/01 It certainly wasn't the best film i've seen in a while. I think I should write my own review now! |

- 19/05/01 You didn't really mention what the film was about. If you added some more it would certainly get a VU from me, but I have to say htta I didn't think the film was THAT bad really. This is just my opinion though ;-)
