Advantages: Funny in places, The Rock looks mad, good plot

Disadvantages: the rock dont do much

The plot has been described as "THE MUMMY Goes to London". The sequel takes place ten years after the previous movie and the plot involves Anck-su-namun kidnapping Rick and Evie's nine-year-old son, Alex, who she believes is the reincarnation of the Egyptian god Isis. Other returning characters include Rick O'Connell, Evelyn Carnahan, Imhotep, and Ardeth Bay (leader of the Med-Jai).

In addition to the fight between our heroes and Anck-su-namun/Imhotep, a half-man, half-scorpion character called the Scorpion King is introduced in the sequel. Played by Dwayne Johnson (WWF's "The Rock"), the Scorpion King is after Anck-su-namun and Imhotep for some kind of misdeed done in ancient Egypt.

Although the rock did hardly anythign in this film - he stared only in the beginning battle which i believe is a bit of a copy and has only been made to rival the opening scene of gladiator. I also think that they should have made it a 15 and actually shown the people getting attacked instead of the swords attacking the screen all the time.

thanks. it was quite a good film but the rating meant they had to cut out improved fight scenes

I actually really liked this film, I thought it was brilliant. Although I agree that The Rock was not in it enough considering how much he was advertised on posters etc. Good op.
