Advantages: Action packed

Disadvantages: Does not quite live up to first films, predictable, plot rushed

The third enstallment of the Mummy series showed an interesting change of scene from the pyramids and tombs of Egypt seen in the first two films.
The O'Connells are drawn out of retirement when appointed the task of taking a relic diamond to China by the British government. Their son, Alex O'Connell, played by Luke Ford, discovers the tomb of the evil Emperor of Qin, who was transformed into a mummy by Zi Yuan, an ancient sorceress. The O'Connells meet their son in China only to discover General Yang plans to resurrect the emperor and to serve under him.
The plot develops well and provides excitement throughout, however, many events are generally quite predictable, and the plot does seem rushed towards the end. Brendan Fraser displays his character greatly as in the first films, and the lack of Rachel Weisz is fairly well made up for by Maria Bello. The introduction of Jet Li as Emperor Han is original and creates some thrills, however, this does not match up to the presence of the mummy in the first films.

Summary: Entertaining film, worth watchingbut not as good as the first films
