OH MY GOD. I cannot believe that I have stumbled across this little gem. Believe me it is a gem. I LOVE this film. I used to watch this film every Christmas Eve. I am realy not lying. I know some people lie on reviews, but I really are'nt. I would prefer to watch this film all through the Christmas period instead of going out to the pub. Now that may really sound sad but it is just a master piece. This is one of the original great family films that manages to be an exceptional film without including any violence, drugs or sex. This is a re-telling of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, complete with several well-known characters from the Muppet Show and Michael Caine as Ebenezer Scrooge. Scrooge is his usual miserable self, determined not to let his staff have time off for Christmas because it will mean he loses money. Now I'm sure that everyone is well aware of Charles Dickens' classic story A Christmas Carol and hedge my bets to suggest that everyone has seen at least one TV or film adaptation of this wonderful novel. I myself have seen a quantity of versions yet I can easily say with a great deal of conviction that the Muppet Christmas Carol is my favourite and in my opinion the best version to date. Beings as Christmas Day is nearly upon us , I thought that I should write a Christmas related review! And so , after stocking up on Christmas DVDs to keep me entertained throughout the festive season , I thought that I would share my findings with you. The Muppet Christmas Carol DVD (1992) was released on DVD on 29th September 2008. The film is an adaption of the Charles Dickens story ,A Christmas Carol.
