THE NANNY is an American situation comedy that ran from 1993 to 1999. Conceived and executive produced by Fran Drescher and her then husband Peter Marc Jacobson, the series follows Fran Fine, a big-mouthed but very good natured Jewish woman from Queens, New York, who becomes the nanny of the 3 children of British Broadway producer Maxwell Sheffield.
