The nightmare before christmas, is directed by the infamous Tim Burton, a man who excels in the creepy and weird. It was first released in the early nineties, while I was still a child, but I love it just as much now, as I did then. Its a great film, for both older children and adults, with a great sondtrack to go with it!

The story starts with an amazing halloween celebration organised by Jack Skellington the Pumpkin King. But all is not well, and Jack longs for a more meaningful existance. Whilst walking in the forest, brooding his problems, he discovers a group of trees with pictures drawn on them. He opens the door on the tree with a christmas picture on it and wanders into the amazing world of christmas town.

Whats this?! is what Jack exclaims when he beholds the wonders of christmas. He makes his way back to Halloween town with a sleigh full of goodies and plans his own version of Christmas. Who would have thought that disney would have ever released a movie where Santa Claus gets kidnapped and tortured?!, well here it it!

After reaking havoc in Christmas Town, Jack saves Santa from the Boogie Man, saves christmas and realises that Halloween is what his life is all about after all.

I think this is a touching film, full of great music, great characters and great stories.

I would recommend this to everybody :)
