Advantages: just loved everything about it !

Disadvantages: some parts not for kids - language, a fight, some of the scenes in the storm might be a bit scary

"The Perfect Storm" is a brilliant tribute to all the fisherman who risk life and limb to bring in the catch, and take home a pay cheque. And to those invisible heroes who go out in all weathers to rescue those caught in Nature's tantrums, on land and sea. Those to whom danger is a daily companion.
The cast and crew of this movie produced an epic that is a testimony to all their talents. Everything was excellent. The characters were all believable, pointing not only to extremely good acting on the part of it's stars, but to the foresight of the casting director in picking the right actor to play each person. The special effects were incredible, you could almost believe that you were there on that frenzy of an ocean. You felt for the characters. For their relationships, and problems. They became real to you.

It seems everything just fell together so right, for this project. A well-deserved pat on the back to all of the behind-the-scenes people for making that happen. The soundtrack is excellent. Every mood and nuance. Everything works so well together. To have the vision of this and to bring it all together - I am awestruck.
If you have the chance to see this - go for it. It's an action movie, some adult language, some scenes that might upset younger ones, but overall it's just an excellent film. Five stars!
