... and funny all at once.
The music and lyrics are great and are mostly really funny, One scene where people are being auditioned for the part of hitler is tremendously funny, all Nazis there act like complete morons, even the woman on the piano is dressed (moustash and all) to look like hitler.
But the highligh of that scene is the part where will ferrel sings "Have you heard the german band", when my next door neighbour's kids saw this they almost died laughing.
If you think it may be a bit risky then borrow ...more

I borrowed this movie from the cannock library three weeks ago because i just saw the name "Mel Brooks", I didnt care at all that is was a musical, I've never even seen a musical all the way through because they jsut dont interest me, but this, this is different, half musical and half slapstick comedy this is the perfect opportunity to laugh at the singers, dancers and of course everybody, once you watch this you'll be going back to see what you missed again and again. I would recommend The Producers to anyone,with or without a sense of humor. I give this movie 10/10 because you cannot get any better than a Mel Brooks movie, but its not just that ...
