When you have two actors who have risen to the heights of stellar stardom in the same film you know straight away that one of them is going to fail in the part they play. The Rock is a good film in general but in some parts is funny for the wrong reasons. Released in 1998, this is a typically action orientated Jerry Bruckheimer film, he who does not like putting his producer dollars into any film that doesn't have at least 10 explosions and 5 full 360 degree upward angle shots on the stars of the flick.
