With Christmas comes pester power where seasonal movies pitched at the younger audience engender an annual round of "Please take me to see it mummy/daddy." So it was this year when we stumbled across the trailer for Santa Claus 2 whilst watching Harry Potter's latest incarnation. Skilfully crafted there were just enough images to get the kids to salivate and force a promise from their unsuspecting parents to take them, which, of ourse, I duly did (being the nice dad that I am). This particular genre is unique with it almost having a category all too itself. You know all of the elements will be there whilst almost automatically cross-referencing any ... I absolutely adored the Santa Clause movie, and went out straight looking for The Santa Clause 2 movie, the sequel. I was thrilled when I found it, and couldn't wait to start watching... Plot: Scott Calvin has been Santa Clause for nearly ten years, ever since he put on the Santa jacket that night outside his house. But the clause of it all is that he has to find a Mrs Clause, or he will have to give up his precious job. Can he find a wife on his own, or will he need his son's help? Characters: Tim Allen plays Santa, and he is pefect for the role. I loved him in the first movie, and adore him in this too. He has a special charm to him that ... Read the complete review

After the great first film, I was expecting a great film that was better than the first. However, this film has failed to deliver. It is not as good as the first and is dissappointing. In the film, Scott has settled into his new role and the kids are very happy. However, his son has turned onto Santa's naughty list. Also, unless he finds a new partner soon he will stop being Santa. If he doesn't get married soon, he will stop being Santa for the rest of his life. The first film is great but this doesn't capture the magic but is still fun to watch. The cast does a great job entertaining the audience. The story is simple so everyone will be ... Read the complete review

The Santa Clause 2 was released in 2002 and is the sequel to the The Santa Clause which was released in 1994. As this is a sequel I would definitely recommend watching The Santa Clause 1 before this one as it does follow the story. The Story: Once again I will keep this short and brief as not to give the plot away and to spoil it for those who haven't yet seen it. If you have watched the first Santa Clause then this should be very easy to follow. Scott Calvin is well and truly in his role as Santa Clause in this movie after becoming the new Santa Clause in the first one. He lives in the North Pole and he is ... Read the complete review

I am one of those persons that you all love to hate, organised about Christmas, in fact I am so organised that 1/2 my presents for this year are put away in the Christmas Cubpboard. Soon as it hits the shops in September/October, I am on a high, I love anything to do with Christmas and always will do. So when Santa Claus 2 the movie was available to watch on my old NTL, I thought here we go and lets watch it. All I can say is they should have not made this movie, it was disappointing and that was to say the least. A lot of friends bought this for Christmas for their kids and they all seemed to have the same opinion. So read on and tell me what you think. ... Read the complete review
