As far as children's christmas films go The Santa Clause is a funny film. It is an amusing festive film where Tim Allen doesn't believe in Santa until he finds himself suiting up. He stays cynical for as long as he can but eventually he comes round to the idea. The only problem is that his ex wife who has custody of his son Charlie objects to her son believing in Santa and especially to her sons claims that his daddy is Santa. The Santa Clause 2 however is an unfortunate sequel. Charlie has grown up and got himself onto the naughty list. Christmas is here and this movie twin pack will ensure that you get into the Christmas spirit. The Santa Clause is the first film of the franchise and follows Scott Calvin (Tim Allen) a successful business man (but not so successful father). While Charlie (his young son) is staying over on Christmas Eve, Scott disturbs what he thinks is a burgler on the roof, but is infact Santa. Santa falls of the roof and his body promptly disappears leaving just his clothes which under pressure from his son he puts on. The first of the two films within this box set I first watched at the pictures, I don't know what it is about the cinema but everything is so much better, I of course fell in love the film. When the second film was released I had to see it, I was not as impressed but still felt the film gave me that feeling, you know the one......... CHRISTMAS!
