This Simpsons video is just one of many that were released a few years back. It contains four earlier episodes of The Simpsons, 'Simpson and Delilah', 'One Fish, Two Fish, Blowfish, Blue Fish', Homer Alone', and 'Colonel Homer'.

The Video has a picture of Homer sat on the couch, dreaming about beer, doughnuts, and bowling! The theme that unites these four episodes is that all revolve around Homer as a main character, and things such as money, power, sex and food, i.e things that are considered tempting. The back of the video has cast details, who made the episodes, as well as brief descriptions of the plot for each episode - here are mine:-

'Simpson and Delilah': Originally shown in 1990, Homer wishes he had hair so he would be more respected. So he buys a new hair-growth product using the power plants' health insurance. Homer does indeed grow hair, and gets promoted to an executive position at the plant, and even gets his own personal assistant - but will the truth come out about Homer's new hair?

'One Fish, Two Fish, Blow Fish, Blue Fish': Lisa suggest the family go out for dinner at a sushi restaurant for dinner one night, and Homer ends up eating some blowfish that is thought to have contained poison! He is rushed to hospital, and told he only has 24 hours to live. For his last day alive, he spends time individually with Bart, Lisa, and Grandpa Simpson, makes a video for Maggie, and spends time with friends at Moe's. But on his way back home, he is arrested for speeding - will Homer make it back for his last few hours with his family?

'Homer alone': shown in 1992, this episode sees Marge having the day from hell, and she eventually flips while out driving, and parks on a bridge. She is eventually coaxed out of the car by Homer but still feels stressed out. So she decides to go on a holiday alone, leaving Bart and Lisa with Patti and Selma, and Maggie alone with Homer. While Marge is away, the rest of the family struggle to cope in her abscence, and Maggie even goes in search of her mother! Will they be able to survive until Marge returns home?

'Colonel Homer': origianlly shown in 1992, After a bad row with Marge at the cinema, Homer goes off to a bar outside Springfield, and there he sees a country singer called Lurleen Lumpkin. He can't get her songs out of his head, goes back to get her to share her talent with the world. Homer ends up becoming her manager and Lurleen becomes a big star; but Homer is spending all his time away from the family, and Marge decides he must choose between them or Lurleen.

Overall this video is really good, with some excellent and classic episodes, most of which people will have seen at some point before. One main disappointment is that there are only four episodes to see, which is not a lot really, and nothing else such as extras on this tape. The video is rated 'PG', so is mostly suitable for everyone.

But it does have some memorable moments from The Simpsons, and thats worth it alone! The video was released about six years ago originally, and cost about £9.99. It can probably be bought online much cheaper now, if you can find it! But it is worth it, as this video is highly recommended.
