My Opinion:
I have purchased region 1 Simpsons box set, but don't worry, this is the exact same as region 2. "The Simpson's DVD Box Set" would make a fabulous gift for any Simpsons lover, as it is wonderfully boxed, and has 13 full episodes from the first season, plus lots on interesting extras.

Contents:
This DVD box set is wonderfully boxed. There are as total of 3 discs, which all have some episodes, and some extras. There are a total of 13 episodes, all from the very first season. This DVD has 5.1 digital sound and excellent quality in picture. Below are the separate contents of each disk, and a short description of the episode/bonus feature.

*Disk 1:*

"Simpsons Roasting On A Open Fire"
This Christmas the Simpsons are short for cash. After Barts tattoo removal, there's no money for Christmas. Homer try's to get the money, but then realizes what Christmas is all about.

"Bart The Genius"
After Bart switches test papers with Martin. Bart is treated like a genius, but then is faced with guilt, and then struggles against the obstacles of being a genius.

"Homer's Odyssey"
Homer is fired at work for violating safety rules. He then turns against the power plant in revenge, and turns into a do-gooder.

"There's no Disgrace Like Homer."
Homer realizes the Simpsons is the family of hell, he try's to fix the problems but ends up getting electrofying theropy.

"Bart The General"
Personally my favourite episode. Bart gets problems facing a bully, but then fights back using gorilla warfare.

"Moaning Lisa"
Lisa Simpson is fed up with life. She is facing all problems of child hood at once, and is having great difficulty beating them?

*Disk 2*

"Call Of The Simpsons"
Envious of Ned Flanders new RV, homer buys one, but ends up with one of the most rubbish automobiles you can buy. The Simpsons go in holiday, but end up with no food, money or clothes. They have to survive in the wild, in these conditions.

"The Telltale Head"
Bart ends up impressing some of the hardest badest boy's in school. They end up making Bart do something that turns the whole town against him.



"Life On The Fast Lane"
Homer starts a problem for him self. He thoughtlessly purchases a birthday present for Marge, ?A Bowling Ball ?. Marge teaches Homer a lesson by taking up bowling from a Bowling teacher who?s secretly in love with Marge.

"Homers Night Out"
Bart gets Homer in trouble. He secretly takes a naughty snap shot of Homer, dancing with a near naked girl, on a friend's stag night.This nearly costs Homer his Marriage.

"The Creeps Of Wrath"
Everyone has their last straw with Bart. Principal Skinner and Homer agree, to enter Bart into a foreign exchange program. Bart ends up in France, facing troubles with 2 French men who are mistreating Bart.

"Krustys Night Out"
Krusty gets accused of a robbery. Bart and Lisa are on a mission to free him. Was he framed?, or did he do it ?.

Extras on this disk are some original scripts from some of the episodes above.

*Disk 3*

"Some Enchanted Evening"
A real-life drama. Homer and Marge go for a night out, and get someone to look after the kids at the last minute. Little to their knowledge that this baby sitter was the baby sitter bandit!

The Extras on this disk are much better than the rest. These extras include un-seen footage, the Tracy Ulman Show, episode sketches and much more amusing features.

n:
This DVD box set is the complete first season on DVD, plus loads of extra features. This DVD would make a good gift for some one of any age. This is a brilliant DVD Box Set, I personally advise you to get this !, Plus, this will be collectable some day !
