Advantages: A great season for the Simpsons!

Disadvantages: None...more special features?

This is the latest DVD offering from Fox of the Simpsons, and this collection includes 24 episodes from Season 7. This is one of the seasons when the Simpsons was at its peak, these collection of episodes are still over ten years old, but some great classics are included, and any fan will be able to spot these! The thrilling conclusion to the Who Shot Mr Burns is included, which was the biggest mystery of the summer and had everyone wondering who done it. 22 Short Films About Springfield is also available, which gives an episode never before done in a cartoon, including it's parody of Pulp Fiction, and what about the episode entitled Homerpaloza which features a massive line up of pop stars. This box set comes in the shape of Marge's head, and continues the theme of the previous one of Homer, and the other family members are to follow in future releases of the Simpsons.

Special Guests
*****************
This was another great season for special guests, you can see who guest stars in the list below. There are many American known celebrities but there will be names that you will recognise. In the modern day episodes famous celebrities are queuing up to do a voice over for a character.

Tito Puente, Mickey Rooney, Paul & Linda McCartney, Paul Anka, Glenn Close, Harry Morgan, R. Lee Emrey, Buzz Aldrin, Liz Georges, Lawrence Tierney, Tom Kite, Bob Newhart, Donald Sutherland, Jeff Goldblum, Suzanne Somers, Kirk Douglas, Jack Sheldon, Cypress Hill, Peter Frampton, Smashing Pumpkins and Sonic Youth.

Conclusion
**************
I'm a big fan of the Simpsons as you might be able to tell from all my previous reviews of the dvd box sets and videos, so I'm probably giving a review on the plus side all the time, but I suppose if you're a fan of any sort of television program you can strongly suggest releases to other fans. Someone, who has never watched the Simpsons, probably wouldn't enjoy this collection of over eight hours of simpsony goodness, not including the special features available to browse! There could have been more special features, but like any DVD offering special features its always going to be more than you could ever get on a VHS.

This box set is literally contained in Marge's head, which is the basis for the previous and next few releases. The previous box set was of Homer, and the future ones will be contained within the faces of the rest of the family. It's fun, and looks good when you start building a collection.

The Simpsons is currently in their seventeenth season, so this is going pretty far back, but also means there are some more great episodes to be released and collected. I recommend this is any Simpsons fan!

Summary: A must have for any Simpsons fan!

You really only described the episodes - what about the special features? Needs a lot more of your own personal thoughts, I think.

I agree with Zoe here, because its not what the episodes have on them that counts really. It is your view of them. As a user, it is so valuable to the public to tell them what you feel. They can get information on whats on a DVD from a site that sells it, but what they cannot get is personal viewers feedback and thats where a review comes in handy. Rachel X

Sounds like you like your Simpsons! (Useful, but not V Usefuk because a lot of the info is episode descriptions rather than what you liked / disliked / thought of it all)
