Advantages: Superb High Definition Picture and Audio. Extras fully loaded

Disadvantages: More languages would have been nice.

I was bought this Blu-ray after being a fan of the TV series. The Simpsons Movie is over 80 minutes of quality Simpsons running time. Picture resolution is full HD, 1080p, the Audio on the disc comprises of English DTS-HD 5.1 Surround Sound. French & Spanish Dolby Digital 5.1. Subtitles are in Chinese, Korean, English, and Spanish.

Even though the picture is in full HD it is a very different viewing experience. It has lost the "feel" of being a TV program and is replaced with a perfectly clear detailed picture that has to be seen to be believed. For a cartoon I don't know how they can improve on this. The sound too blows you away, I have been listening to it via Sennheiser HD555 headphones. They pick up all of the little details the producers have purposely put in the movie such as the sound effects of the helicopters when Springfield has its new dome put in place.

There are some extras that fans like myself will find interesting. I have been watching the Simpsons family for over a decade so when Fox decides to let the creators talk about the show it really adds to the value and experience of the package. Deleted scenes and a different ending are but a few that you can watch after the movie has finished.

Whilst the movie has its critics and some say it isn't as funny or original as the earlier Simpson's shows any fan will appreciate the effort they have gone to bring us another installment of the Simpsons on the big screen.
